The Total Solar Eclipse I Missed

There was a total solar eclipse yesterday, the longest this century (which has only just started!). I didn't see it live in person, and I didn't even see it live on webcam. I totally missed this solar eclipse...

The river dispute I heard...

Near the river side, the leaders met with the arbiter to determine how much of the area would be allowed for fishing by each tribe. The exposition on the division of use by the arbiter did not sit well with the leaders. I could already hear one of them giving a polemic on the idea presented. It was all she could do to forbear her own throwing of the arbiter into the river. "Once you've reached the bottom, you'll be able to plumb the dishonor of your statement! Continuing with these plans will be deleterious to us all, and especially to you!" You could see in his face that the arbiter was hermetic when it came to the leaders' remarks. The river was always a salubrious place to be after a hard day. Now you had village leaders and officials goading eachother into doing something foolish over it. It was obvious that the ramparts of their stances needed to break before any true discussions could move ahead.
