  2. Exposition - expounding or explaining; explanatory treatise
  3. Polemic - a powerful argument made in refuation of something
    1. The editorial was a convincing polemic that revealed the true nature of the proposition.
  4. Forbear - to refrain from; to abstain
    1. "He forbore from eating fried foods because of the trans fats."
  5. Plumb - to measure the depth of something
  6. Deleterious - harmful
